Late cancellations and no-shows

A 24- or 48-hour rescheduling rule, and a missed session counted as used, keep your calendar from being treated as optional.

Refund requests mid-programme

Coaching results depend on the client's work. Say what's refundable and when, and that outcomes aren't guaranteed, so a change of heart in week six isn't a full refund.

Payment plans that stop

Instalments are great for sales and bad when the third one fails. Tie access to the programme to payments being up to date, and collect the first one at signature.

Questions

Can I charge for a missed coaching session?

Yes, if the agreement says so and the client signed it. A common rule is that sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice count as used.

Should coaching packages be refundable?

Many coaches offer a short cooling-off period, then no refunds on sessions already scheduled or delivered. Consumer law in some countries gives individuals cancellation rights — check yours.
