Privacy Policy

This describes what Clinch collects, why, and what you can do about it. It's written in plain English on purpose — you're welcome to email us if anything is unclear.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address, display name, and optional business name, if you sign up.
  • Contract data: the contracts you create, the names and email addresses of the people you send them to, and their signatures (a drawn image or typed name) once signed.
  • Signing evidence: for every document, a hashed (not raw) IP address, browser user agent, and UTC timestamps for each event (created, sent, viewed, signed, declined) — this is what makes a signature legally defensible, not optional tracking.
  • Billing data: if you upgrade to Pro, Stripe processes your payment directly. We store only your plan status and Stripe customer/subscription IDs — never your card details.

Who we share it with

We don't sell data, ever. A small number of infrastructure providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run the service:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Resend — delivering transactional emails (signature requests, receipts).
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Anthropic — drafts a contract from your description when you use AI drafting. Only your own description is sent; nothing from documents you're signing (not drafting) is ever sent to an AI provider.

Cookies & analytics

Clinch uses only the strictly-necessary session cookie that keeps you signed in — no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, which is why there's no cookie banner. Product analytics (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless and aggregate-only: it tells us which pages get traffic, not who visited.

How long we keep it

Documents and their signatures are kept until you delete them or close your account. Deleting a document removes its content, PDF, and signature images from storage. Account deletion removes your profile and all associated documents.

Your rights

You can export or delete your own documents at any time from your dashboard. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, or to ask what we hold about you, email clinch-hello@lumnika.com — we'll confirm and act on it within 30 days.
