Integration
n8n + Clinch: contract workflows, self-hosted or cloud
Send contracts for signature from any n8n workflow and start workflows on signatures, payments, proposals, leads and bookings.
Draft a contract freeHow it connects today
Official app not listed yetWorks today: webhooks and HTTP requestsA Clinch community node for n8n is built but not yet published, so you can't install it yet. Today you use n8n's own Webhook and HTTP Request nodes with the public Clinch API, which is what the node does under the hood.
Three recipes
When a form is submitted, send a contract
n8n Form Trigger (or Typeform, Tally) → HTTP Request POST /api/v1/documents with template web-design-contract and the client as signer.
When a contract is signed, bill the first milestone
Webhook on contract.signed → HTTP Request POST /api/v1/invoices for the first milestone, with a pay link.
When a proposal is accepted, open the project
Webhook on proposal.accepted → create a Linear or Jira project and a shared Google Drive folder.
Set it up
- In Clinch, open Settings → API and create a key. In n8n, save it as a Header Auth credential: name Authorization, value Bearer <your key>.
- To send contracts: add an HTTP Request node, POST https://clinch.lumnika.com/api/v1/documents, with that credential and a JSON body (title, template or text, signers).
- To react to events: add a Webhook node set to POST, copy its production URL and paste it in Clinch under Settings → Integrations.
- Optionally add a Code node that checks the X-Clinch-Signature header with your signing secret, then activate the workflow.
Example
POST https://clinch.lumnika.com/api/v1/documents
Authorization: Bearer clk_your_key
Content-Type: application/json

}Questions
Is there a Clinch node for n8n?
A community node is built but not published yet. The HTTP Request and Webhook nodes cover the same actions and triggers today.
Does it work with self-hosted n8n?
Yes. Clinch only needs to reach your webhook over public https; outgoing requests go from your n8n to the Clinch API.
Which plan do I need?
The API works on the free plan (1 key, 50 calls every 30 days). Webhooks that start workflows need Clinch Pro, which also removes the call limit.
Where is the API reference?
On the developers page, with an OpenAPI file you can import.
