How it connects today

Built into ClinchWorks today: Clinch API and webhooks

Built into Clinch and available today: REST API v1 with an OpenAPI file, API keys in Settings → API, and outgoing webhooks for five events.

Three recipes

  • Send a contract from your own app

POST /api/v1/documents with a template or your text and the signers: the contract is created and sent for signature in one call, with an optional deposit.

  • Invoice when the work is signed off

Listen to contract.signed and call POST /api/v1/invoices to bill the first milestone with a pay link.

  • Sync clients and documents to your CRM

GET /api/v1/clients and /api/v1/documents return status, signers and signing links to keep your records current.

Set it up

  1. Create a key in Clinch under Settings → API and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key>.
  2. Create a contract with POST /api/v1/documents (title, template or text, signers, optional deposit_cents).
  3. Subscribe to events with POST /api/v1/webhooks or in Settings → Integrations (Pro).
  4. Verify each delivery's X-Clinch-Signature header with your signing secret.

Example

curl https://clinch.lumnika.com/api/v1/documents \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer clk_your_key" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"title":"Logo design","template":"logo-design-contract",
       "signers":[{"name":"Jane Doe","email":"jane@acme.com"}]}'
